Virus-induced tumors are known especially in
chickens, rodents, and cats. In man, they do not
play a general role in the induction of tumors.
Important exceptions are papilloma virus-induced
carcinoma of the cervix and carcinoma of
the liver secondary to hepatitis virus infection.
